History

In-N-Out first opened its doors in 1945. At its time menu prices were created along with a system of speakers for ordering. In-N-Out Menu.

It was created by a couple named Mr. and Mrs. Snyder in California and after having to face some issues during the first two years of operation, they decided to open an additional location in California. 

As the first drive-through fast-food restaurant at the time, it didn’t face any competition, but it needed to be a bit more aggressive to get loyal customers.

Their growth was believed to be slow by some individuals, however, the restaurant maintained that it was owned by the family, and turned away franchise offers, and insisted that they did not want anything that would interfere with their production quality. 

They continued to experience a steady increase and by the year 1970 they had opened up to 18 locations. 

Following the death of Mr. Snyder died that same year his son assumed the business and was more successful and opened more than 80 restaurants being opened at various locations.

Unfortunately, he passed away in 1993. His sister took the company and took it to even greater successes in a short period of time. 

The restaurant was expanded to more than 100 outlets in 6 years before he passed away. 

In-N Out now has more than 200 outlets and is proud of providing the same top-of-the-line products and services they used to offer when they first opened.
